We have pulled one out of the bag for our FESTIVAL SPECIAL, as we continue to bring new, local, legendary, and top-tier international DJs to our wee night at Leith Arches. Victor Simonelli squarely fits in the latter category.
The legendary New York producer and DJ will grace the decks for a two-hour set for our Edinburgh Late Finish special on Friday, 9th August.
Victor is one of the early pioneers of the unique NYC underground house music movement & is still current, releasing new tracks and DJing Throughout the world!
His production, writing, mixing, and editing credits, as well as his discography, read like a “who’s who” of modern music.
Victor was intimately involved in the formation of Northcott’s Sub-Urban Records, for whom he recorded countless classics, usually in collaboration with Tommy Musto under the legendary TMVS moniker, creating epics in 1993 like “Don’t Be Shy” and producing monsters like Federal Hill’s 1995 smash “I Have Something For You.” All this before starting his own stable of imprints, including Bassline and Big Big Trax. More recently, he started his Stellar and West Side labels, mixing his own productions with work by other producers.
