This exhibition creates a feeling of nostalgia. The pieces are not simply tiny rooms but rather a juxtaposition of miniature objects and collage that create a sense of familiarity and peculiarity. I want to evoke a sense of remembrance of a happier time. Invoking an opportunity for viewers of my pieces to reminisce and momentarily escape the present moment.
All my pieces use original items dating back to the 1920s. Each and every element is chosen, considered and placed to be aesthetically and intellectually stimulating. Lifting the humble and mundane into art.
