The Old Bill Restaurant
The Old Bill is a wonderfully welcoming restaurant in Edinburgh. Our vintage police theme has its heritage in our original premises.
Family friendly with fantastic food and a warm atmosphere, situated in the quiet, historical and newly developed “Independent Quarter”, The Old Bill is a destination you simply have to visit.
Fantastic access from every direction and a large car park on Queen Street which charges a nominal fee to rest your tyres. A visit to The Old Bill could not be made easier!
An independent bar hidden in the basement of our Greaves St buildings. It was the third area to be developed after our ground floor Bistro and first floor function suite “The White Rooms“.
Designed by the proprietor, Paolo Bissolati, the Coal Hole has been stripped back the decades of decorating to reveal stone and brick walls, steel uprights, original wooden flooring, iron staircase and a fabulous stainless steel bar. To add to this wonderfully authentic ambiance we have filled it with leather sofas, dark antique furniture and eclectic lighting.
Our first floor is dedicated to our completely private function suite. This contemporary venue was designed to accommodate functions on a larger scale whilst still providing our loyal patrons with delightfully home cooked food, excellent service and value for money.
The White Rooms have a private bar, buffet area, dance floor, and the facilities are on the same floor to save your knees! So whatever your function theme, be it a wedding, birthday, funeral or christening, a charity event or a baby shower – we can help.
